i have a blog now. i have only a vague idea of what that is except that i look at some (bloglines) and like them (lots of info about things i'm interested in) and i was trying to subscribe to one in ie8 and ended up here. updated to ie8 a few days ago because microsoft kept bugging me to update and ie7 started acting real janky since ie8 was publicly available so i just caved in and did it. so i'm trying to get familiar with all the new features of ie8 and i see you can subscribe to blogs and i tried to do that and i got to some page where i can START a blog and that sounded pretty cool so i started one but think i still haven't subscribed to the one i wanted to so i could get updates on new products available immediately (atwood tools. i've been out of control recently---i understand this happens) . ie8 so far seems a bit better than ie7. the pages load a bit quicker but i still get very frustrating 'internet explorer cannot display this page . . .' messages which i think has more to do with my isp (sprint---a pox on their house) which is supposed to be broadband but usually gets me 384-768kb/s, quite a bit south of what i like and was getting from sbc/att 10/100 ethernet, wired and wireless. but sprint is mobile so i guess i have to accept the trade-off for a while. i don't know if this computer thing is ever going to catch on unless they can get these annoying little wrinkles smoothed out.
all right, i wanna get back to trying to subscribe to that blog so i'll end this, my historic first blog post.
